Happy World Food Day! The World Food Programme aims to raise nutritious meals for 50,000 school kids, by the end of today! And we need your help - it takes 3 easy steps and costs nothing.

We have much to celebrate today - there is more than enough food to sustain the world's population (the problem is access to food) and we know everything we need to know to solve world hunger. No miracle cure is needed, we all simply need to do our part!

Why is it important to provide meals to school children in developing nations? It's the smartest investment you can make! It costs very little to provide a nutritious meal at school, and it has been proven to increase attendance levels as it encourages parents to send their children to school to get an education, rather than to work for the family. It's an important step to break the cycle of hunger.
